Portrait and Lifestyle Photography
I have worked extensively for British and American magazines and, as a result, have honed a natural editorial style
I have also provided imagery for many press packages and web content for businesses and individuals. My work for magazines means that I will always provide you with imagery that is current, fresh and natural looking. Your press pictures will easily be placed in editorial and your images will sit naturally alongside other commissioned pieces. In addition I am often asked to make film footage and produce promotional short films for web or social media use.
I truly believe that every commission is a collaboration between me and my subject. Were you to commission me we would initially meet to discuss how you wanted to be portrayed. You know your business best and how you wish to come across. That said, I do love to photograph my subjects in their environment showing them in their own space alongside their creations and highlighting their working process. I use available light wherever possible and enjoy working on location which means that I am always happy to come to you whether this be at work, at home, in a studio, office or garden.
My editorial clients include Vogue, Vanity Fair, The Telegraph Magazine, The Observer, The Independent on Sunday Review, Easy Living, Rolling Stones Magazine, Sainsbury’s Magazine, The Coop.
My business clients include The Garnered, Alistair Fleming, Wild Nutrition, Abby Mosseri Jewellery, Swizzels Matlow, Host Broadcast Services.

Rosie Wooldridge Photography
Rosie Wooldridge has a first class degree in photography and has been working as a professional photographer in Lewes for the past five years. Her work has developed with a focus on natural light on in the stunning settings of Sussex landscapes - coast, downs and woodland.
She has always had a passion for photography, finding inspiration in the landscape and the magical effects of light – streaming through forest trees or shimmering on a river or sea, especially at sunrise or sunset.
She is a specialist in photographing children, in individual and family portrait shoots, using local locations and building a relationship so they can relax and play spontaneously. This enables her to get beautiful natural images, capturing the magic of childhood. An example of recent client feedback: “To get so many great pictures out of a group ranging in age from 17 to 3 required a huge amount of skill, patience and creativity, all of which Rosie has in abundance.”
She takes commercial commissions, including fashion photography, especially working with children to showcase products in natural locations, and has worked on local projects including Bags of Books and Firle Primary School, to produce images of children’s activities for their websites.
Rosie captures the story of the day in an individual style to meet the clients’ wishes. Her images include informal groups and bridal shots of the couple in a stunning location and beautiful evening ljght. “The album is just stunning. Rosie is so down to earth and takes the most natural pictures.”
Lewes Artwave 2016 – Images of Childhood – an exhibition of stories, drawings and photographs of children and young people, from in and around Lewes. Each of the children and young people chose to be photographed in a setting that is meaningful to them and an activity that is important in their lives. The portraits are accompanied by individual drawings expressing their voices and telling their own stories in different formats, including a cartoon strip and a poem.
Carlotta Luke Photography and Design
Carlotta Luke is a highly experienced photographer with a diverse portfolio ranging from architecture to portraiture. Her work skillfully captures the subtle beauty of everyday life, sometimes challenging the observer’s perception. Originally from New England, USA, where she trained her photographer’s eye on the Massachusetts coastal light and landscape, Carlotta has a BA in Fine Art and a Master’s in Urban Design. She produces work which is edgy and elegant, often humorous, always thought provoking. Carlotta’s distinctive work is available as fine art quality prints and greeting cards.
Carlotta specialises in architectural documentary photography in which she creates a visual narrative of renovations with a compelling sense of place and style. Her work brings a new dimension to projects, recording the journey from old to new by capturing the light, space, texture and materials, as well as people involved. Some of her recent projects include the renovation of two derelict Victorian warehouses in Newhaven Harbour, the development of the Depot Cinema in Lewes, and the restoration of the Tudor manor in Southover Grange.
Work and School Environments
Carlotta creates beautiful and informative portraiture, often un-posed, of people involved in daily activities, for marketing materials, press coverage and exhibitions. She has produced photography for independent schools wishing to promote a distinctive identity, local artisan food and drink producers in Sussex, artists and makers, musicians, and even the RNLI. Carlotta’s professional and friendly approach makes her subjects feel comfortable - which is reflected in the consistently high quality, creative appeal of her work.
Carlotta is available for commissions to photograph special events, celebrations and conferences and a wide range of other subjects. She responds by producing imaginative, original images, working unobtrusively both indoors and outside, to capture an occasion’s unique atmosphere. Her clients include local businesses, councils and universities as well as individuals. Past assignments have included capturing HRH Queen Elizabeth’s visit to a Lewes brewery; and, by contrast, taking promotional shots for the band Mumford & Sons.
Carlotta is also an experienced graphic designer whose commissions include books, logos, websites and more. She understands the importance of great design for brand identity, having worked for ten years as an art director during which time she honed her design and editing skills. Her clients include artists, entrepreneurs and businesses across Sussex.
